Letters to Jeremiah Goodman, John Steele and Dr. Steptoe, 1812-1820.

Jefferson, Monticello, writes to his "Poplar Forest" overseer Jeremiah A. Goodman, 1812 October 10, that injuries sustained from falling off a horse prevent travelling. Hugh Chisolm will be plastering the house and will need lime, sand, and a hand to help. He also expects Reuben Perry and James Hubbard to be witnesses during a coming court case. Jefferson, Poplar Forest, writes to John Steele, 1816 November 11, concerning a cask of wine. There is also a dinner invitation to Dr. Steptoe, 1820 December 18.
